Corporate Structure
We are now going to explain our corporate structure in detail.
CEWE – European market leader with family roots
Under Heinz Neumüller’s management, Carl Wöltje’s original idea evolved into a leading European company that is listed on the stock exchange. Even after the company went public in 1993, and chairmanship of the Executive Board was handed over to managers from outside the family, CEWE continued to maintain close links to the Neumüller family. The heirs are still the company’s main shareholders. This explains the unusual corporate structure:
Operations are handled by the CEWE Stiftung & Co. KGaA. Corporate activities are controlled by a number of bodies: the Executive Board, the Supervisory Board, the Advisory Board and the shareholders. The Executive and Advisory Board are anchored to the Neumüller CEWE COLOR foundation that acts as the general partner of the partnership limited by shares, and therefore as a personally liable partner.
The CEWE Group operates a number of sites for the areas of photo finishing and commercial online printing that are each managed by their own managing directors.
